Advertisement for Resource Centre (Library) Trainees 2026-27

Dhirubhai Ambani University (Formerly DAIICT), Gandhinagar, is looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and fresh Post-Graduates with a minimum First Class in Master’s in Library and Information Science from a recognised university to serve as Library Trainees for its Resource Centre (Library) temporarily for a year.

The Resource Centre has fully computerised in-house operations and services. It provides access to a wide variety of digital collections catering to the needs of the Faculty, Staff and Students. Several new initiatives are being taken to make this library one of the leading-edge resource libraries in the country’s ICT area. It is a part of regional & national consortia and actively participates in resource-sharing activities.

Resource Centre is open till midnight on all working days during the semester as well as on holidays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Nature of Traineeship: Trainees will be provided with an opportunity to learn practical and operational aspects of all sections at the Resource Centre, as well as learn modern library management techniques and web-based services. The Resource Centre provides a highly professional learning environment, and the selected candidates have ample opportunities to learn about emerging IT tools and technologies.

The traineeship is for one year, and selected candidates will have to undergo practical training in different shifts and at weekends on a rotation basis. They will get a fixed monthly stipend of Rs. 28000/- and casual leave as per the institute’s leave policy.

Selection Criterion: Consistent academic record, satisfactory performance in the written test and personal interview.

Candidates must bring supporting documents for date of birth, address, and qualifications (original and one set of photocopies).

No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the written test and interview.

Candidates expecting their M. Lib. I. Sc. final year examination results before the test & interview date may also apply. The selected candidates must produce the final mark sheet within one month of announcing the results.
