Institute Repository

Institute Repository is an official repository, which serves as an archive of the DA-IICT recording the origin, history, development and activities of the Institute’s various academic, administrative and other units since its inception. In other words, the objective of the repository will be to ensure that the DA-IICT journey is fully documented and accurately narrated.

Institute Repository is housed in a separate room in the B-wing of the RC.

Mission

The repository’s mission will be to collect, organize, make accessible and preserve records documenting the origin and development, activities and achievements of the Institute officers, faculty, researchers, students and alumni and beneficiaries.


To fulfil this mission, the Repository will:

  • Identify, collect, organize and preserve records of enduring value in all formats created by administration, faculty, students and others.
  • Support teaching, research and administration work by providing access to and encouraging the use of its collection by the DA-IICT community.
  • Promote knowledge and understanding of the history, program and objectives of DA-IICT

Who will contribute to the Repository?

  • DA-IICT faculty, students, executives and other staff members
  • Academic, research, administrative, cultural, sports, hostels, library and other units of the DA-IICT
  • DA-IICT alumni groups and other Institute supported divisions.

Others who are directly and indirectly associated with the Institute’s activities.

What will the repository contain?

  • Institute’s academic, administrative records and publications
  • Faculty and Student academic & research records
  • Audio Visuals of the individuals, events, campus infrastructure etc.

Who can use it?

Most records in the repository are open and available for use by the Institute’s students, faculty, and staff. However, to protect the documents and ensure their long-term preservation and accessibility, materials added to the Repository are not issued out. These records will have to be referred to in the Repository room as per the Repository rules.
